Site Updates

New charts have been added to the Export Monitor. Starting today, you will be able to view the accumulated sales of each commodity by marketing year.

Additional charts have been added to the Weekly Ethanol Report. Now you will be able to see a weekly distribution chart(percentage change) as well as a weekly change(nominal) chart. These charts are handy to view the measured move of production and demand and spot outliers that may move the market.

We've added a few charts to the Commitment of Traders(COT) report. You can now view managed money as a percentage of open interest. This indicator is useful in determining when certain market participants may be crowded into trades as well as historical precedence to how much further long/short managed money may become. These charts are now live.

We have improved the Weekly Ethanol Report to have the option to display seasonal charts without the COVID-19 effect embedded in the data. Essentially, for the 2019-2020 Corn marketing year, the response from lockdowns due to the COVID-19 Pandemic have distorted seasonal charts in ways that do not reflect normal seasonal trends in the data. To remedy this problem, we have removed the 2019-2020 marketing year from the seasonal chart.
